102913 marks the end of my internship

For the past 3 months, I have been interning in one of the coolest company.
One which teaches leadership and really practices it too.
One with some really cool people who works hard and play even harder.
One which believes in creativity, ideas, change and is not confined by any unreasonable 'traditions'.
One which believes that leaders are not born, but are cultured.
One which believes and brings out the best in you.

This company called Leaderonomics,
taught me values and unspoken cues that geared me towards excellence,
most importantly,
provides friendship which can last a lifetime. :)

I am grateful of how I bumped into this position in the first place,
Thanks to Jess - a wonderful spokesperson for Leaderonomics,
just an afternoon chat with her already managed to convince me into checking out the company website and that followed by sending in my resume too.

The values alone, caught my attention:
"Growing people into leaders. Building Communities through love. Transforming the nation"

Dots of Learning:

1. Relationship is the key to success
The best salesman is not one who can talk the smoothest, but one who has solid relationship with his clients. One who managed to build trust and bridge differences.
Remember their names. Drop by to say a sincere hi and how are you. All these small little things are what transition you from a client to a friend. and this friend whom you have, will not break your contract or sue you or get you into trouble when smtg went wrong. and who knows you might be the first name this friend thought of when there's a business plan around the corner.

2. Initiate check-points with your boss
Every bosses want to know your progress. Every bosses want to be a part of what you are in charged of. However, in most instances, they have loads of responsibilities and crazy-packed schedule to attend to, than to check on you every now and then. So as a team-member, initiate the check-points with your boss. Update him on the latest news with your job. Ask if the updates are enough or he wanna know more? Ask if you can have a weekly check-point with him and if that is too much or too little. Initiate. Get your boss involved.

3. Perfectionism is what differentiates between The Good's' and The Best
This rule applies more to the corporate world. where everything is so competitive.
You are capable of delivering the task, so is 90% of the others in the same field. So what makes a client wanna go for your product/service, rather than your competitors? Because of your attention to details.
Look at Apple and the culture of their company. Even to the slightest detail of what angles should the Mac desktop be tilted at in a MacBook Resource Store? They found out that when the desktop screen is tilted a certain angle, when customers are browsing through the store, they will then have a tendency of interacting with this device more; this experience with the device is what they believe to drive the customers to purchasing it.

4. Attitude is the ladder to success and beyond
Capabilities and intellectual abilities are important and also commonly-found.
As traditional as it sounds, nowadays, people still appreciates good attitude.
Non-complaining, heart and passion to excel in your task, working well with your team, a willing heart to learn...Hang on to these and they will fly you far.

  Leaderonomics Thumbs Up!
