Blessed Steps

It's my last day of work. though i've just worked for the summer, but i can't help but develop a nostalgic feeling when I know that I'm leaving. I have an awesome adviser. One who always bring us snacks, one who reminds us to take our break, one who always ask 'how are you' not just for courtesy-sake. I made a 'Petronas twin tower' themed farewell card, reminding that there used to be an international student from Malaysia who worked with them :) It's true that people prefers to hire locals cos hiring international students (especially sponsored students) requires too much documentation and procedure and we're not work-study students (where govt pay half of your salary and the company pay another half. only applies to PR or citizens) When i was hired, the library employment office lady told me that it has been years since they last hired another J-1 visa student. This is too fascinating and funny not to record it down. I'm working in the library today. It's my second last day. (To answer the question most asked "Why aren't you continuing to work for the Fall semester?" "Cos I wanna focus on my studies." Too nerd? No no no. Perhaps? Hmm, but nope. I don't have a naturally gifted brain when it comes to Physics. I don't usually understand a certain concept in my first reading and I need lots of drills when it comes to Mathematical Physics formulas, equations and solutions. Besides that, I still want to be actively involved in bible studies, Christian fellowships, hanging out and keeping in touch with friends and having time for myself. Talking about being sleepy... i've no idea why i'm extraordinary sleepy today. I was working. Looking for books in the stacks, I've got to squat down for this book right below all the other stacks, instead of squatting down, I sat down. "Ah! there it is." Pulled it out, checked the call number, put it on the carpetted floor, closed my eyes and when I opened my eyes again, i realized that I've been asleep on the floor in between the library book stacks for around 10minutes and similar incident occur again when I'm on my way back from work. Just finished watching all of Harry Potter! (after 3 nights of movie marathon) wow! Though I've read the first four books in detailed and the 5th one half-way asleep; but now I feel like reading the rest of the books and really really wanna find out a lot of details that were not properly conveyed in the movie. Really, I'm impressed by Rowling's imagination. It's sort of mind-blowing. But i remembered even reading the first four books last time, it kinda got me into the 'magic' world with all kinds of imagination vividly described in the book. lol. maybe I'll just ask my friends bout the stories since I don't think I can finish reading so many books before semester starts :O x) Oh! and those of you who'd watched movie with me before (in cinema), FYI, I screamed till sore throat watching them in my apartment's living room.
