Blessed Steps

Some has been asking bout my job and how did it go. Thanks for the concern :) So the nature of my job is working in the library backstage: checking in books, making bar-codes, arranging them on the cart and bringing it up for book-arranging department picking up books from book-drops from different locations in the library, driving around campus to pick up books from book-drops in different locations in the campus (But I don't have a license(yet), i just help the driver) helping my supervisors... Honestly it is a very relaxing job. I really like it. Though sometimes (like these few days), it can get real bored cos the library is updating the system and we can't process anything in the computer till it's done. When it gets boring, I feel more tired and sleepy. and we (student workers) get 15min paid-break for every 4 consecutive hours we work. There is microwave, toaster, fridge, vending machine, staff lounge... sometimes I just take that 15min to nap on the couch. and many ...

Gender discrimination? (making a good impression, acc to Jon) case description: For university buses, the campus always hire new student drivers. So whenever there is a driver-in-training driving the bus, there will be a supervisor on board, making sure that all is well. Today, I boarded one of these buses. I was running towards the bus 'cos I am late. Once boarded, the supervisor greeted me loud and clear "Howdy!". Almost outta my breath, I replied in a squeaky voice (unintended) "Howdy!" and proceeded to one of the front seats. The supervisor turned to the driver-in-training and asked " Do you have a girlfriend?" "No, " he replied " Always greet the girls when they board the bus." (O.O *nod nod* I see..) Language barrier? While working,I was at the library counter, checking the bar-codes for net-books and making sure that they're labeled correctly. This man saw me and asked " So you're doing inventory huh?" ...

Just one click to watch the "Today's Spotlight Video" in iGoogle, I fell into deep addiction and stayed up till 5am+ for two nights, watching this Korean drama series!!!! Oh No... and Awww! It had been so long since I last followed through a whole tv series. the funny thing is that when I mentioned this series to one of my cf friends, she had been following the same series since weeks ago. lol! seriously seriously? Aihh The whole series is not out yet, so i'm stuck here at episode 10, being tortured in patience till next week when I can watch episode 11. Here is one of my fav songs in the series, such cute and sweet song titled "Lovin Ice cream" (lol) If and only if you have lots of free time, then I'd suggest you to check this out Korean drama series "Lie To Me" (not too hard to find 'em, all the episodes are in youtube) *big grinnnnn* (dreamy) aihhhh

TO BE THE BEST PENCIL, YOU MUST ALLOW YOURSELF TO BE HELD AND GUIDED BY THE HAND THAT HOLDS YOU.  We all need to be constantly sharpened.  This parable may encourage you to know that you are a special person, with unique God-given talents and abilities.  Only you can fulfill the purpose which you were born to accomplish.  Never allow yourself to get discouraged and think that your life is insignificant and cannot be changed and, like the pencil, always remember that the most important part of who you are, is what's inside of you and then allow yourself to be guided by the hand of God.

I thought I had gotten used to sleeping late and waking up late recently. but the power of online courses! just finished chapter 1, my head feels heavy. looks like it's time to sleep... 10.50pm

within 30 min after I typed the previous blog post. I was thinking, getting a job and start working wasn't that easy after all. the department requires 5-20days of processing, by the time my documents are ready, it's about a week left till July. (given that they approve me of my job, of course; otherwise, don't even dream about earning my own money) just then, i received a call from this lady from my church, and she asked if i'm interested in taking care of the kids on Saturday night (when the church is having family fellowship. it's only one Saturday every month). and I was thinking, yea, I can do that. I don't have anything On on Saturdays. and she explained that she understands the life of an undergraduate, not having income, having own school work and such, and that she'd talked to the fellowship and they agreed to give a small amount of 'thankyou gift' or rather known as salary? to the student who helped out. oh wow! I'm kinda blown away by ...
